Lenten traditions

As some of you who were raised in the shadow of the papacy know, this is the first week of Lent. My understanding is that this is when Jesus said that it's ok to eat fish, because they don't have any feelings. He then went on to play a big practical joke on his friends by dying and coming back to life. Guilt mongers that they are, Catholics have a long standing tradition of giving up something for Lent. When you're a kid, it's something you love, like candy or transformers. Well, I'm going to give up not posting Friday videos......not sure that's a sacrifice, but whatever, bring me some fish, on with the videos.
We all knew this dude when we were kids, he hung around with monkeys and didn't have to wear any clothes. Oh and he got him some nice chicks. That's right, Tarzan. And now, there's this. It reminds me of Barbie Girl in many ways...but just like that video....welll...ugh.
Hey Monkey, get funky
Religion and music have a long history together. Sometimes i'ts actually quite nice. And sometimes you get something that you know that even a deity would frown upon. How do these folks know that the big JC is their friend? Did they ask him..... I think not!
And finally, there's this. A song that drills itself into my head and doesn't leave all day. Otherwise, it ain't 1/2 bad.
Commence the Friday pescatarian orgy.
